Wake & Wiggle
Privacy Policy · last updated 3 October 2026 · by tinydot studio
Wake & Wiggle is a free, cozy worm puzzle game. It works fully offline and needs no account. It is paid for by a small
banner ad, shown on the Home screen and while you play. This page explains the ads and the small amount of data used by the
optional cloud save.
What stays on your phone
Your level, stars, hints, worm album and settings are stored on your device. If you never turn on cloud save, nothing leaves your phone.
What the cloud save stores
- A random player ID and a device key (stored scrambled, so we cannot read them back).
- Your recovery code, stored only as a one-way hash. The code itself is never stored.
- Your game progress (the same data as above).
- A nickname and a profile icon. When you use the cloud save, the game gives you a friendly made-up nickname (like SleepyWorm42) and a cute icon; you can change both at any time. They are shown on the leaderboard together with your highest level, so please do not use your real name. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard in the game (Cloud save → Leaderboard → Profile → Hide me from the leaderboard).
- Your result on each Daily Leaf (the date and the hearts you had left).
- If you connect Facebook, Google or Apple: only that account's stable user ID (for Google and Apple also a masked hint such as n***y@gmail.com so you can recognise it; for Facebook we use only the ID and ask for no email, name or photo). We never store your full email address or your name. For Apple we also keep a token that is used only to revoke the connection when you disconnect or erase your data.
- A scrambled (hashed) version of your network address for a few hours, only to stop abuse (rate limiting).
Ads
The banner is served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may use your device's
advertising ID, your approximate location (worked out from your network address, not your GPS), and technical and usage
information about the ad (for example that it was shown or tapped, and crash and performance data). We do not receive or store
this information ourselves. Google handles it under its own privacy policy.
- Choice on iPhone: the game asks, through Apple's tracking prompt, whether an app may track you. If you choose
Ask App not to Track, ads are not personalised with your advertising ID.
- Choice in Europe and the UK: a consent message lets you accept or refuse personalised ads. You can change your mind
at any time in the game: Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- On your device: you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings (on Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads;
on iPhone, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- The game is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has used it
and ads were shown to them, please contact us and we will help.
Anonymous play statistics
To make the game better (for example to find a level that is too hard), the game sends us anonymous totals once a day:
how many times each level was started, cleared or left, how many bumps and hints were used, which themes and screens are used,
how long a session lasts, and how many days old the install is. These are plain counters. They contain no name, no player ID,
no device ID and no advertising ID, so we cannot tell who sent them. Your network address is used only to stop abuse and is not stored
with them. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Anonymous stats.
What we do not do
We use no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs (apart from the ad SDK described above), and we do not sell or share your data. We do not use location, contacts,
photos or the microphone. The game does not ask for your age.
Where it is kept
Cloud data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database). Signing in with Facebook, Google or Apple happens on their own pages in your browser.
Your choices
- Delete everything: in the game open Settings → Cloud save → More options → Erase my cloud data. This deletes your save, nickname, icon, daily results and connected accounts from our server at once, and revokes the Apple connection.
- Sign out of one phone or disconnect Facebook/Google/Apple from the same screen.
- Your nickname and icon leave the leaderboard as soon as you erase your cloud data.
- Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on the phone.
